Breathe in and out of a paper bag.

I think a humidifier could ease your distress. Try a steam inhalation with a basin of hot water, a couple of drops of mentholated oil, cover your head with a large towel and inhale deeply. Hope you find relief.

I agree a humidifier would probably help. If you get to the point that you feel you really need medical help, you can go to any city hospital and they are required to care for you regardless of ability to pay.

This is what you do go to the emergency room and get medicine. If you need medicine you can apply for aid by going to the website of where u get the medicine from and they can give you medicine for free.

Dont put this off asthma is treatable. Try to apply for medicaid from your local social service agency.

You could have something much more serious then asthma. That is why you need a doctor. I don't want to scare you, but it could be lung cancer. You don't have to be a smoker to get cancer. It could be Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, which has the symptoms you describe also.

You can apply for medicaid or call your social services office for help. If you go to the hospital, they can't turn you away. You could need some oxygen too. Please Girl, go get help. God bless you. I have the same breathing problem...

You need to be evaluated by a doctor now! At best, you are miserable and have disrupted sleep. At worst, you have a life threatening disease that will only get worse UNLESS YOU GET TREATMENT.

Best case, you have asthma -- a chronic disease that can be controlled. Uncontrolled asthma is a leading cause of er visits and can lead to death (in severe cases). And that is one of the better scenarios -- others include cancer, co pd, TB, pneumonia, NSIP...

Is there anyway you can afford to pay out of pocket? Put the $65 on a visa?

If not, are you eligible for medicare (older) or medicaid (lower income) or disability?

If not, then try a community clinic - they are federally subsidized and offer sliding scale fees for lower income clients.

Worst case, show up a emergency room. While you will be billed for the treatment (which is why the other options are better), they will treat you eve if you have no money. Many hospitals offer charity care in some circumstance.
