Default Best way to stay mentally healthy during old age - 08-31-2012, 02:07 PM

What do you think is the best way to stay mentally healthy even when you're 60-70, time when dementia and other mental illnesses can afflict you.

My answer to this is meditation.

To remain mentally healthy during old age is happiness, stress free environment, taking some exercise, intake of green vegetables, salad, fresh fruits or their juice as per doctor's advice and playing with kids or pets according to me...

To remain mentally healthy during old age it is important to remain socially active. A nutritious and well balanced, low calorie diet containing plenty of fruit and vegetables also makes an important contribution to mental health. Also exercise is very important for staying health and it also ease tension and depression.

Healthy aging is about much more than staying physically healthy , also it's about maintaining your sense of purpose and your zest for life. The best way to prevent these conditions from occurring is to keep yourself mentally busy. Staying fit does not always refer to keeping your bodies physically fit; it also means taking care of your mental health. Relaxation techniques increase the level of oxygen in the brain and helps to relax your body and at the same time increases mental fitness.

i suggest you should go for a better treatment which will help you a lot for your problem. There are lots of videos on net which also help you...and you can also do meditation.........

We cannot prevent the loss of memory as we age but there are some products out there that able to help us to stay our mind healthy.

The best things in life are free, so they say. To be mentally healthy therefore is not sold nor bought. Just be yourself, think happy thoughts enhanced with simple physical activities just to loosen the knots in your body and you're good to go.

Somewhat relative to meditation, I would just say generally religion. Spiritual health leads quickly to mental health, in my experience.

Just always eat the right food, exercise, and surround yourself with positive things. By eating a balance diet wherein you take in more fish and vegetables can contribute to your total well being and you will feel lighter. Exercising is also one way of staying healthy even if your age is not that young as it can help you function well. Lastly, you cannot stay healthy if you are a negative person who thinks negatively all the time, it is better to stay positive and always see a good thing in everything.
