alcohol usually isn't something that helps acid reflux.

When you have acid reflux you should avoid alcoholic beverages as well as carbonated beverages. Whiskey and ginger ale sounds like someone in your condition just asking to suffer more.

The ginger ale is probably going to help, the Jameson will most likely make things worse...but at least you won't feel the pain till the buzz wears off.
